HyperMix 2.1.3 release

After upload the new version of HyperMix we encountered some problems with the Windows version that we are trying to fix as soon as possible. Meantime the Linux version is been uploaded in SourceForge for its distribution.

In order to make easier the experience, here is a video with an execution example of the Linux last version.

New Update Release

The new release (2.1.0.1) solves some bugs and adds new features and algorithms.

The new algorithms included are:

  • Non-negative Constrained Least Squares (NCLS).
  • Full Constrained Least Squares (FCLS)
  • Two parallel implementations of Spatial PreProcessing (SPP)
You can download the tool here.

New BETA HyperMix 2

This week we publish a new beta release of our tool HyperMix for Linux and Windows due to the finalization of the TOLOMEO project.

This new release has many new features and several popular algorithms in order to provide a good user experience. Some of them are:

  • Dynamic flowchart diagrams to build operator chains.
  • Parallel implementations for some operators using NVIDIA CUDA language.
  • Possibility to add your own operators for hyperspectral images.

Of course, preserves the display of data and results obtained by the tool, as well as some methods to check the accuracy of the results. All operators source codes are included.

Deb files (Linux) and  zip files (Windows) are available here.

A light user guide is also available on the web site.

Little by little we will be including new operators and optimized versions to expand the possibilities of the tool.

HyperMix Tool

Who we are?

The research activities of the Research Group "Hyperspectral Computing" (HyperComp), University of Extremadura, coordinated by Prof. Antonio Plaza, focuses on the development of new techniques for high-performance computing applied to problems related to remote sensing of earth, using images provided by satellites and airborne platforms. Such images are called hyperspectral due to the large dimensionality of the same in the spectral domain, which imposes significant requirements in terms of computing applications that require real-time response, such as detection and fire monitoring, identification of contaminants time water and atmosphere, etc.

What is HyperMix?

HyperMix is an open source tool for remote sensed hyperspectral image unmixing. It includes several popular algorithms covering different steps of the hyperspectral unmixing chain.

The tool already has a downloadable version where you can find the source code of the algorithms and Debian packages for Ubuntu. This version was developed using Orfeo Toolbox and Fast Light Toolkit (FLTK) in 2012 in the framework of the TOLOMEO project.

In order to keep informed about updates, new algorithms and related information we create this blog.
